SNEAK PEEK! Serendipity Scrapbooks April Kit

I just can not wait til tomorrow to show you guys all of the stuff in this new kit. You will seriously love these goodies. I have to give you a sneak peek. Just for fun

I was working on a couple of pages for my son's senior album and found these funny photos of him playing tug o' war with Savvy. I decided to scrap it for the family album too. So here are two 8.5 x 11" pages for Alex and one for me. I used some really fun Sassafras Lass papers and my new dotted tape from Pink Paislee

Tomorrowland Transit Authority

We love TTA so I wanted to include some of the script from the ride on my page. While looking I found out that they have changed the script recently and I am not happy about it. They used to talk to you like you were an intergalactic traveler and maybe an alien. I LIKE to be talked to like I might be an alien. Now its all boring and informative. :( But I did include a couple of my favorite parts on my layout.

I used new Basic Grey "Kioshi" papers mixed with vintage Basic Grey "oh Baby Boy" papers.

Cute AND organized

Remember my Mickey shaped board that I put all of my Disney Pins on? Well just look at this cute tag board that I got from Bauble Board! I am always looking for a way to organize some of the odd shaped things so that I won't forget that I have them. This cute board is perfect because I got it in white and just decorated to go with my room. So I will show you the cute decorated version....but then I got a bit carried away and had to take the cuteness off and fill the whole thing. I had it on my door and decided to move it to the side wall so I could get to it easier. LOL! They have alot of shapes and tons of colors to suit your room, but I thought the light color would work best with my cluttered scrap room.

Fabric ATC

This is for a Fabric Challenge over at Altered Pages. It was fun to make this little mini quilted ATC just from scraps and then adding a little bunny from Altered Pages. Give it a try sometime.

Ice Cream Sandwich Cookies

I love Challenges and when they involve testing recipes and then making a scrapbook page too, that's even better! At Serendipity Scrapbooks Food Forum we are startig some really fun Test Kitchen challenges so you will be seeing more as I work on my cookbook. :) This one was really fun because I have never made ice cream sandwich cookies and the recipe is really good. I had fun scrapping it too. I made a 8.5 x 11" Sketch that is recipe friendly and then used some older SEI papers. Visit my NEW Sketch Blog to get the sketch.

Could he just be any cuter? It's hard to believe he was ever that small. LOL! And he had such a beautiful and willing sidekick til she started chewing on the inside of the teepee.

There are alot of very silly photo ops when my family is involved. This one was Perry's idea. Get a photo of all of us drinking at the same time. LOL!

Always Tea Time!

My family is making me wait til tomorrow morning to see Alice. They want to see it in 3D Imax and we have tickets for tomorrow. I just cant wait and I think it has spilled over into my layout. :)

I just love biscotti and tea. This page is for a Food Forum challenge at Serendipity Scrapbooks and I used the new Basic Grey "Green at Heart" collection. I just love these prints and the colors.

I just love little tiny houses on a page so I had to do one. :) The papers are Basic Grey "Nook and Pantry", and American Crafts "Blue Skies". I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the edges.

What do you collect?

I collect several things, but one of my favorite collections is my Disney Pin collection. A friend of mine, Mitzi Koons, makes very nice pin boards for people like me who normally have the pins in a box or storage binder. They make shapes for anyone who collects pins. Here is my board. I will finish Alex's pin board today and share it here as well.

Bon Appetit

Just for fun, Serendipity Scrapbooks Food Forum is having a Bon Appetit Virtual Recipe Swap and we are starting by making an album or recipe box to hold all of our recipes. Its going to be so fun!

My album is just a white binder with cover pockets so that I could decorate it and then wipe it off if I get sloppy with my cooking. I mean, WHEN I get sloppy. LOL! I used the adorable mouse and papers from the Farmers Market stack by DCWV. I cant wait to start sharing recipes!

I love finishing a 2 pager and liking it, it makes you feel like you accomplished something. LOL! I just love these papers and things with my baby elephant photos from Animal Kingdom.

Serendipity Scrapbooks March kit 3 of 4

This is my third set of layouts from the exclusive Serendipity Scrapbooks March kit! I am telling you, I got alot of pages finished! This is a very cool kit with the beautiful Basic Grey "Origins" papers and embellishments, plus some exciting papers that are exclusive to Serendipity. (Check out the kit HERE)

Ok, I may have gotten a bit carried away with this first page. I used the back of the beautiful Basic Grey floral doily paper to mask and sponge brown ink on the background. I loved the effect and then couldn't cover it so I had to cram all of my goodies on the left side of the page :) The back where I had sponged was really cool so I attached a piece at the top of the page with the inked side showing. The birdie is a rub on that I applied to a scrap of paper and then cut out and I made a nest for him using thin strips of brown cardstock.

This second page is just a couple of scrap pieces of paper that were left in my kit after my other layouts and I really loved them so I left them whole and added my own trim. Such an easy page but I like it alot
